The analytics industry over the past 10 years or so, has changed drastically – one from a logistic model (which used to take months to execute) to functional analytics like Investment Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, Web Analytics, Association Analysis etc. I do not disagree that these were not there before, but were limited to a elite few scenarios. Previously, corporates who required training on Analytics, required training on Logistic Modeling, Decision Trees, OLS and a tool like SAS. However, it is now thought that most of the analytics people would be able to learn the above techniques and tools, but what about application? Following is one of the chats that we had with a corporate -”If I have a project on Fraud, can my people understand a step by step process to analyze the problem, apply the correct techniques, can I have an open source tool to do the same? Similarly can I have a training on Association and Sequential Analyses, other simple analyses?” – It would be a dream run for any analytics corporation to have specific solutions and training on specific problems. “ Redwood Associates along with its training arm is going all out to provide solutions like the above stated to all analytics corporates. If this is achieved, then there would be a major breakthrough in the manner corporates look at the analytics business and the way they charge the clients. May the Market Disruption begin!!!!
